Regular Maintenance

It is imperative for owners to maintain clear water in their spa. Whilst these procedures may look a little daunting to begin with, you'll find that after two weeks of ownership you'll feel like an expert on water chemistry.

It's that easy!

You can take a look in our chemicals section to find more information on those chemicals needed to look after your hot tub.

Daily

  • Your hot tub will be programmed to automatically run a 24 hour filtering programme
  • Test the chlorine, pH and alkalinity levels using the test strips provided

Weekly

  • Add 30 ml of Stain and Scale Inhibitor per 1,000 litres of water, whilst the water is circulating
  • Add 30 ml of Spa Clear
  • Dose the hot tub with Shock Granules to take the chlorine level to 6-10 ppm. Do this after a session in the hot tub, not before, as skin irritation can occur with a high chlorine level.

Monthly

  • Once a month switch off the hot tub and remove the filter. Rinse with clean water and brush between the vanes with a toothbrush to remove debris.
  • Soak the filter in diluted Filter Clean Solution for a minimum of 12 hours
  • Rinse again with clean water, and refit.

Periodically

  • The hot tub will need to be drained and refilled every 2-3 months, and chemicals re-added.
